Cannes-Stylists Day Off

After our busy day styling at The Cannes Film Festival we were looking forward to our day off at the beach just 200 metres from our hotel. We polished off an amazing french breakfast of pastries, fruit, smoked salmon, cheeses and french bread, we were pretty much there for two hours re-building our energy levels and having non stop conversations about the previous day! We checked out of the hotel leaving our bags safely stored then raced up to the roof terrace to check the view out, with the obligitory selfie, of course! Full of excitement for our beach day we headed over and grabbed our sandy space for the day and slapped on the factor 30. Now, I love a bit of sunshine styling and I'd come

Hayley's Wedding

My alarm was set for 6am last Friday for Hayley's wedding at The Three Rivers Country Club in Cold Norton, Essex. I arrived and set up in a room with a beautiful view overlooking the golf course. I prepped Hayley's four bridesmaids and then Hayley's hair. The bridesmaids had the same style, a pretty boho up do with intricate braiding finished with gypsophilia, it worked really well with their mint green dresses. Hayley's parents arrived with the flowergirls, Hayley's nieces and baby daughter and her nephew, they brought sandwiches and snacks for everyone, the bucks fizz and prosecco were opened and the buzz of the morning continued, Naomi Barker, photographer arrived, the DJ popped in to say

Ashley & Richard-The Story so Far...

Hi Ashley what was the date of your wedding and where did you choose to get married and have your reception? Saturday 30th January 2016, at Oaks Farm http://www.oaksfarmweddings.co.uk/ Tell us how your fiancé Richard proposed to you? He proposed on Christmas morning, 2014. We were in our dressing gowns in bed unwrapping presents and my ring was one of them! It was completely unexpected. Was it fun getting ready on the wedding morning, did it all go to plan? So much fun, the atmosphere was really relaxed and happy. It felt like we had a lot of time, even though our ceremony was at midday. Having such a calm morning was a lovely way to start the day. What was the highlight of your day? So many

The Boho Bride

This wedding season, boho styling is the clear winner with my brides. Soft, textured styles compliment the current bridal fashion. These styles work well with both fresh flowers and jewelled accessories such as hair vines twisted amongst the style even ribbon or lace can look amazing braided into the hair. Though I simply adore fresh flowers in the hair, check out my blog about flowers! Half up half down, soft curls pinned at the base of the head and braiding are just some of the summer’s popular looks as well as 'the undone up do' as we like to call it in the trade. Hair extensions added to a style can be a big help creating a stunning boho look. #bridalhair #bohohair #bohobride #weddinghai
